SOCIAL PROTECTION
There exist a huge population of elderly, persons living with disabilities (PLWD) and poor and vulnerable households who needs assistance in the HoA countries that we operate in. The number of people who needs assistance nearly doubles during emergencies the most notable being drought. Drought affects the livestock sector upon which millions of people depend on for survival, as a result, the pastoralists need emergency support from time to time. At HARDA, we are on mission to end human suffering by implementing the following social protection programs: -
- Food distribution
- Water trucking
- Cash transfer
